Here's where you can get some support from me. For all services, you can pay on this site first and then book a slot in my diary here. I will then confirm your appointment etc and lead you through the process. Please note that I can do your test reports, protocols and case reviews very quickly most of the time, but there may be a delay of up to 2-3 weeks if I have a lot come in at once. I am not going to rush it as I want to get it right for you. For physical face to face appointments, I work from home by the sea in Looe, Cornwall and sometimes in the Midlands.
Clinic Appointments (face to face, phone or video/Skype)
The Support Call covers lots of things and is usually where people start. It's a chance to chat through your situation and come up with a way forward together; to get my opinion really. It always amazes me how much we can get sorted in these! I might give you stuff to get on with, suggest some tests, a diet change, some reading, trying certain supplement protocols, one of the plans etc. We can discuss test results, progress or whatever it is you want to chat with me about.
We might decide together that we need to be a bit more in depth and get you onto the system as a patient. To start the clinical process, we do a New Patient Consultation. This gives us time to get more detailed information and get you set up on my practice system. I will probably send you some forms to complete, chat with you on Skype and suggest a protocol to start your healing process. We will then Review regularly - normally every 4-6 weeks, depending on your case.
If yours is a complex case of chronic illness, we may need a Complex Case Review instead. Many people send me chapter and verse about their history, several test results and lots of questions about them, asking for a way forward! That's fine and I'm more than happy to help, but it takes a lot of time to really analyse a case properly and be able to give you my thoughts on it. A Complex Case Review involves me sending you some forms to complete, emailing me your test results etc and a chat to discuss your case to date. I also like a written timeline of what's happened when if possible so I can refer to it when putting the jigsaw together. I will then diarise some time to review it all and come back to you either via a call/video chat or by email with my thoughts and a suggested protocol if that would be useful for you. This takes about 4-5 hours, often more. It is a stand-alone service; there is no obligation on you or me to continue with a treatment programme unless we decide to work together. Often, people do it purely to help move themselves forward when they're stuck and trying to find what's been missed! If we continue with you as a patient, we will Review regularly every 4-6 weeks as above.
Don't worry if you're not sure what to book - email me (email@example.com) or we will discuss it on the initial chat. If you book an Initial Consultation and then we decide you need a Complex Case Review, I will discount it for you so you don't pay full price for the latter.
If you've had some tests done through me (or someone else) and all you need is someone to give their thoughts on them, you can book a Test Report. Max 3 results please. Once paid-for, send me an email and attach the results and a bit of background about why you tested, what you were looking for and a brief bit of case history so I can put them into context. If I need more info, don't worry; I'll ask. I will then email my thoughts to you and/or book a chat to go through them with you. If your tests are really comprehensive or complex ones (eg. an FDX03/Nutreval etc, I may need more time; I'll advise you before I start.
Does what it says on the tin. This is if you you're not a patient, but need me to work out a specific protocol for you based on some test results or discussions we've had. To do this, I'll need to send you some forms so I have anything else you are taking meds- or supplements-wise.
I'm a generalist at heart so I like dealing with lots of different things. My skill after all these years is in seeing the bigger picture and how seemingly disparate symptoms and conditions can have common causes and pathways. Once we've identified those, it's much easier to get you well.
I charge out at £95 per hour which is less than half what colleagues with the same experience charge. My prices are based genuinely on the time each service takes me - I'm not going to do it if I can't do it right. I'd like to be free on the NHS, but stopped holding my breath a long time ago! Please bear in mind generally in functional medicine there are likely to be extra costs for lab testing, if we decide together it's wise to get more info, and for supplements. I prefer face to face (ie physically or video) for patient work wherever possible as I get tons more information that way somehow. I do NOT like talking on mobiles, which makes complicated discussions even more stressful when dealing with patchy reception!

Please connect with me on Skype before your appointment: my address is purehealthclinic. If you can't do Skype, we will use my practice system portal instead. If by phone, call me at your allotted time. I'll confirm which number to call me on as it depends which end of the country I'm in! Just so you know, I prefer to consult by video if poss; I get more info somehow!
